UNDP SUPPORTED FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAMME:
“Strengthening Women’s Social, Economic and Political Empowerment in Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Sant Ravidas Nagar of Uttar Pradesh”

Major Project Deliverables:
ü Development of customized financial literacy package.
ü Orientation programme for Master Trainers on new training materials developed for the project.
ü Organizing finance camps for financial inclusion of target women with various financial institutions for product and services like banking (saving, credit, and remittance), insurance, etc.
ü Development of a robust tracking system for the training schedule of the master trainers and ensure uniform quality of delivery of financial literacy training.
ü Provide handholding support to the trainers and ensure that at least 75% of the beneficiaries trained should have access to formal financial institutions and out of them 50% are to be linked with financial instruments such as insurance, loan, pension, etc.
ü Sensitization of Community Facilitating Organizations and field functionaries to act as nodal points for contact / coordination and resolution of issues in implementation of Financial Literacy programs.
ü Organize experience sharing / appreciation programs for bank managers and representatives of financial service providers operating in the project villages to facilitate their synergy and cooperation towards women and their enterprises.
ü Institutionalize the Trainers’ and capacitate Master Trainers’ to perform the functions of a Business Facilitator/ Business Correspondent effectively and proactively interact with local banks for their induction into the BC/BF role for the Banks.
