Shri Shubankar Jha has been associating with the Citi Center of Financial Literacy (CCFL) ISMW as National Coordinator from 24/07/08. He superannuated on 30/06/2008 as General Manager of UCO Bank, being one of the major Public sector bank of the country with international network. A gold medalist for having graduated in agricultural science ranking first in first class, Shri Jha joined UCO Bank as field officer in 1969 and worked extensively in various areas of Rural / Micro Credit, Development Banking and in all other important areas of Banking &  Finance in various capacities and locations  including as Chairman, Regional Rural Bank, Principal, Central Staff Training college, Regional Manager, AGM Personnel / HRD, Zonal Manager (SLBC convener) and General Manager in charge of Operations, Planning, IT, Risk Management, Inspection & Audit,  Stressed Asset Management, Credit Monitoring, General Administration etc. He attended many apex level conferences and important trainings including Agricultural Project course co-sponsored by EDI, World Bank and the International Summer School at Cambridge organized by Chartered Institute of Bankers, London (U.K.). He conducted inspection of bank’s Foreign Branches at Singapore and visited Hong Kong also on official assignment.
