Future Plans

The center is planning to take up Financial Literacy as a movement among the poor people in the country. This movement is named as National Financial Literacy Drive whose aim is to generate awareness and spread knowledge on Financial Literacy amongst 1.5 million poor people in India . This drive will be carried out in ten states of India through ten selected MFIs based on their experience in the sector as well as their need and demand for financial literacy for their clients. Each MFI will have 100 master trainers who will in turn train 10 trainers each. Each trainer will train 1500 women. There will be 1000 trainers all over India who will take this National Financial Literacy Drive . The Drive has already been started and piloted in two states i.e. in Tamil Nadu with SHEPHERD and in West Bengal with Village Welfare Society. Along with it CCFL is aiming to become a knowledge centre through which it wants to bring a secure and better future for the million of people in India through proper financial planning and money management. The society which the microfinance sector aims to bring through its effort Financial Literacy is the most important thing along with the financial resources.
