The trainings conducted by the School are in keeping with the five thematic areas identified by The School. In addition the main focus is on designing women's collectives, strengthening community based organisations, focusing on cooperative models in MFIs, and to bridge the capacity building gaps in these areas.
These include need assessment, implementation of strategy, log frame analysis, MIS and defining milestones.
The mandate of The School is to bridge the capacity building gaps existing in the field of microfinance so that the School can enable organisations to serve women better. Keeping this mandate in mind, The School has actively organized and conducted a number of trainings on various issues and of various types to meet the needs of the field.

The School conducts Issue Specific Trainings for various participant audiences.
The trainings are need based and are conducted after rigorous training needs assessment, which determine the capacity building inputs required. The training is then tailored, based on the need assessment and the material is also designed which best suits the needs of the organization.
The School also organizes a variety of Technical Trainings in collaboration with other capacity building organisations such as EDA Rural Systems Pvt. Ltd. These trainings are specifically on Accounting Systems for MFIs, Financial Analysis, MIS, Delinquency management and Interest Rate Setting etc. These Trainings are mainly geared for new and upcoming organisations that need technical guidance to streamline their systems.
The School takes interest in organizing workshops which are issue based. Impact Assessment workshops and Curriculum Development are need-based and customized.
