2. Dr Joy Deshmukh- Ranadive was a panelist at the session titled ‘Microfinance and Gender; Benefits and Challenges of Targeting Women’ at the Asia- pacific Regional Microcredit Summit held at  Bali, Indonesia, July 28-30, 2008. She made a presentation on ‘Gender, Women and Microfinance’.

3. Dr Joy Deshmukh- Ranadive was speaker in the Panel Session Savings Mobilisation at Asia Microfinance Forum 2008 in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 26 to 29 August 2008. Made presentation on ‘Savings of the Poor and Women in Poverty: Balancing between Opportunities and Opportunity Costs’.
